Jean Segura’s tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies is over after he agreed to a two-year/$17 million deal with the Miami Marlins last week, a pact that includes a $10 million club option for a third season.
Wednesday afternoon, Segura took to Instagram to thank Phillies fans for supporting him during his four seasons in red pinstripes, specifically the team’s magical run to the 2022 National League pennant:
Acquired in a trade from the Seattle Mariners in December of 2018, Segura slashed .281/.337/.418 with 43 home runs, 176 RBIs, 459 hits and a .755 OPS in four seasons with the Phillies.
Phillies Nation‘s Ty Daubert has ranked the top five moments of Segura’s Phillies career, including some major moments from this past postseason.
