The World Baseball Classic is back for the first time since 2017, and the Philadelphia Phillies are much more well represented this time around than they were six years ago.
Team USA will look to defend their title in the 20-team tournament, which will run from March 8-21.
Here are all the Phillies that will compete in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Dominican Republic: Gregory Soto
Notably, Seranthony Domínguez is not part of the Dominican Republic’s team
Israel: Garrett Stubbs
Stubbs spoke this week to Phillies Nation‘s Nathan Ackerman about his first season with the team and how excited he was to play in the WBC.
Mexico: Taijuan Walker
USA: J.T. Realmuto, Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber
Bryce Harper had initially committed to play for Team USA, but will not be able to do so because he underwent Tommy John surgery in November.
Lou Collier, who played in 32 games for the Phillies in 2004, will be the first base coach for Mark DeRosa and Team USA.
Venezuela: Ranger Suárez and José Alvarado
