Longtime Phillies beat writer Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer joins Nathan Ackerman on this edition of the Phillies Nation Podcast.
Scott and Nathan talk about the National League championship festivities that took place during the Phillies’ first homestand of the 2023 season. Scott shares what it was like to see Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper raise the NL pennant and the energy in the stadium to welcome the team back for the first time since the World Series. They also discuss the timetable for Harper’s return and Hoskins’ first meeting with the media since tearing his ACL in March.
Then, they get into the second week of the regular season, including the moving parts atop the lineup and the much-hoped-for torrid starts by Bryson Stott, Alec Bohm and Brandon Marsh. They also discuss the baserunning woes that have plagued the Phillies in the season’s first two weeks.
