The Philadelphia Phillies needed a big start Saturday against the Chicago Cubs, and that’s exactly what they got.
Looking to halt a five-game losing streak, the top three hitters in the Phillies lineup — Bryson Stott, Nick Castellanos and Bryce Harper — all reached base in the bottom of the first inning. And with the bases loaded, Kyle Schwarber promptly unloaded them with a 435-foot grand slam against his former team:
While 2023 has been a struggle so far for Schwarber, he does still lead the team with 11 home runs this season.
