Watch: Phillies walk it off to clinch series against San Diego

With the Padres and Phillies playing four games in 48 hours, Sunday’s game was always going to be a war of attrition.

The game went 12 innings and with the new extra innings rules, these games usually come down to who has the deepest collection of arms available.

Advantage Phillies. Jeff Hoffman stranded the extra runner at second in the 11th and 12th innings to set up a Phillies win on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Schwarber to deliver a 7-6 Phillies win.

The win clinches a series victory for Philadelphia over San Diego. The Phillies are now 51-42. San Diego moves to 44-50 and are now 0-9 in extra-inning games.
