With former NL MVP Ryan Howard in attendance at Truist Park, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber hit one of the most majestic home runs in franchise history Monday night against the Atlanta Braves.
In the top of the sixth inning, Schwarber sent a pitch from Michael Tonkin into orbit, with the two-run home run traveling a staggering 483 feet:
To put into context how far Schwarber hit this ball, it was only five feet short of the 488-foot bomb that he hit off of Yu Darvish and the San Diego Padres in Game 1 of the 2022 NLCS.
