The Philadelphia Phillies released game times for their Grapefruit League slate Wednesday, which will feature 31 Major League games (some split squad) and the first ever Spring Breakout Game.
Below is a look at the full schedule of Spring Training games the Phillies will play, with game times included.
NBC Sports Philadelphia and Sports Radio 94 WIP — the two broadcast partners of the Phillies — have not yet announced what spring games will be broadcast on TV and/or radio this year.
As mentioned above, all 30 franchises will participate in a Spring Breakout Game this year, something of a glimpse into the future that will take place during Spring Training. The team of Phillies prospects will travel to Lakeland, Florida on March 16 to face Detroit Tigers prospects. The game will take place at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium at 1:05 p.m. ET. That same day, the Phillies big league squad will be in Jupiter, Florida to take on the Miami Marlins, a tilt that will also start at 1:05.
While the Phillies appear likely to return a nearly identical team in 2024 to what they had in 2023, they’ll have a different look aesthetically in Grapefruit League play this season. As first reported on Phillies Nation, the red tops that were introduced in 2016 and worn as a road alternate top over the last three seasons have been ditched for 2024 to make room for the impending arrival of a City Connect jersey. Not only will the red jerseys be gone from the regular season, but they are also out as the team’s Spring Training jerseys. MLB.com‘s Todd Zolecki reported a couple weeks ago that the plan is to go with a look similar to the regular season — red pinstripes at home, grays on the road.
