Chase Utley will soon be back in Philadelphia.
The legendary Phillies second baseman is scheduled to catch a ceremonial first pitch prior to Thursday’s 6:40 p.m. EST game against the New York Mets.
Utley’s appearance is part of MLB’s promotion of the upcoming London Series between the Phillies and Mets on June 8-9. He will catch a ceremonial first pitch from a contestant on the BBC hit show “Gladiators.”
The Phillies say fans in attendance should be in their seats by 6:20 p.m. to see Utley on the field.
Utley moved to London in 2022 to work as an overseas ambassador for MLB.
