Hays was placed on the 10-day IL (retroactive to Sept. 2) on Sept. 5 with a kidney infection. Cal Stevenson was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take his spot on the roster.
Rob Thomson told reporters in Milwaukee on Tuesday that Hays’ kidney infection is virtually gone. He’s now in the process of ramping back up to game shape. He did a workout on Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park and will meet the team in New York on Thursday. It’s unclear if he’ll return during the regular season. Turnbull last pitched in a game on June 26 at Detroit. He experienced a setback in mid-August, but is now trying to ramp up in an attempt to make a 2024 comeback as a reliever. He is currently rehabbing at the complex in Clearwater, Fla.
Turnbull threw another live batting practice on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The Phillies are figuring out his next steps. He could throw a simulated game in Clearwater or pitch in Lehigh Valley on a minor league rehab assignment over the weekend.
Is he running out of time? “I don’t think so,” Thomson said on Sept. 10. “We’ll keep moving forward.” The next steps include more live batting practice sessions, simulated games and a rehab assignment. (Last updated by Destiny Lugardo on Sept. 19)

Dahl does not appear to be the answer long term, the larger the sample size the poorer the outcome. Although he is an outfielder which we need. If Clemens or Sosa can prove they can play the outfield then he is expendable.
Bring up our best power hitting outfielder in the minors until the AS game and let's see what he got.
How about Muzziotti?
Muzziotti was spectacular last year, but this year he is hitting around. 200 and not doing as well
It's frustrating to view 10 plus Philies strike out practically every game. Why is that?
Johnson down and Kingery up. Going to lose him anyway and you might as well get some use out of him
