If the Philadelphia Phillies do indeed clinch their first NL East title since 2011 this weekend at Citi Field, there’s a good chance it will come with national announcers on the telecast.

Three of the four games between the Phillies and Mets this weekend will be national broadcasts.

Thursday’s series-opener between the two NL East rivals will be on FOX. Jason Benetti will be the play-by-play announcer, with Hall of Famer John Smoltz serving as the color commentator. Ken Rosenthal will be the dugout reporter.

Friday’s Mets-Phillies game will then be streamed exclusively on Apple TV+. Wayne Randazzo will be the play-by-play announcer. He’ll be joined in the booth by former All-Star lefty Dontrelle Willis, who will be the game analyst. Heidi Watney will be the dugout reporter.

Saturday is the lone game in the series that will be broadcast on NBC Sports Philadelphia, with Tom McCarthy and Ben Davis on the call.

Sunday will then shift back to national TV, as the game was selected for ESPN‘s Sunday Night Baseball. Karl Ravech is the play-by-play announcer for SNB, with former big leaguers David Cone and Eduardo Pérez by his side as his color commentators. Buster Olney is the dugout reporter for ESPN.

While fans almost always prefer their local announcers, this weekend will be a reminder of what’s to come in the postseason when all TV broadcasts are national ones. This year, FOX will have coverage of the NL playoffs, which means the Phillies could see quite a bit of Joe Davis, Smoltz and Rosenthal

— the network’s No. 1 broadcast team — in October.
