The National League Division Series begins Saturday at 4:08 p.m. ET. The Phillies still don’t know if their opponent will be the Mets or the Brewers, but fans now know who will be broadcasting the games on television for FOX.
The Phillies are getting the network’s No. 2 baseball booth, with Adam Amin on play-by-play and A.J. Pierzynski and Adam Wainwright as the color analysts, per sports media reporter Jimmy Traina.
Joe Davis and John Smoltz, who will call the National League Championship and World Series, are on the Dodgers-Padres series. Davis is the Dodgers’ play-by-play man on SportsNet LA.
TBS will broadcast all American League playoff games. Bob Costas and Ron Darling will call the Yankees-Royals series with Brian Anderson and Jeff Francoeur on Tigers-Guardians, per Traina.
Davis produced a number of memorable calls while broadcasting Phillies playoff games through the DS to the World Series in 2022.
His best came when Bryce Harper hit a go-ahead home run against Robert Suarez in the eighth inning of Game 5 of the 2022 NLCS against the Padres. Locally, it is known as “Bedlam at the Bank” as a nod to Scott Franzke’s incredible radio call, but Davis’ “Harper, the swing of his life” call was also epic. Davis reused the phrase just a few weeks later on an NFL broadcast after Justin Jefferson made a terrific one-handed falling catch.
The first two games of the NLDS will start at 4:08 p.m. ET. Game 1 on Saturday can be found on FOX with Game 2 airing on FS1.
Franzke, Larry Andersen and Kevin Stocker will be on the local call in the Phillies radio booth.
