Ahead of Friday evening’s 8 p.m. ET non-tender deadline, the Phillies announced multiple roster moves.
First, the club agreed to terms on 2025 contracts with José Ruiz and Garrett Stubbs.
Ruiz’s deal is for $1.225 million, according to Robert Murray of FanSided.
Additionally, Alec Bohm, Edmundo Sosa, Bryson Stott, Brandon Marsh and Ranger Suárez were tendered contracts for next season. If the Phillies and any of these players can’t agree on a salary in the coming months, the two sides will go to arbitration. At that point, a third party will determine the player’s 2025 salary.
Earlier on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported the Phillies were going to non-tender Austin Hays. The organization has officially announced that move. Hays is now a free agent.
Here are projected arbitration salaries for the players who were tendered a contract, courtesy of MLB Trade Rumors:
– Bohm: $8.1 million
– Sosa: $2.5 million
– Stott: $3.5 million
– Marsh: $3 million
– Suárez: $8.9 million
