The Phillies spring training guest instructor list is full of 2008 Phillies.
Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino are all slated to appear in Clearwater this spring, according to MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki. Cole Hamels, as reported in December by PHLY’s Jim Salisbury, will also come to camp as a guest instructor.
Howard was in Phillies camp for three days as a guest instructor in 2020. Rollins, who is listed in the Phillies front office directory as a special advisor to the president of baseball operations, was scheduled to make an appearance in 2023. Victorino made an appearance at Phillies camp last season.
Hamels, who officially retired from baseball in 2024, will have a presence around the Phillies this season. In addition to attending this year’s Phillies Phantasy camp along with spring training, Hamels is scheduled to call a few games in the Phillies television booth.
