Here is some good news for those still holding on to a cable subscription to watch Phillies games.
NBC Sports Philadelphia is now available as a $24.99/month add-on for Peacock Premium ($7.99/month) or Premium Plus ($13.99/month) subscribers in the Philadelphia market. So, the minimum price point to legally stream Phillies games in-market is $32.94/month. Flyers and 76ers games, along with pre- and postgame coverage and original programming for all sports, including the Eagles, will also be available as part of the add-on.
Previously, the cheapest way to watch Phillies games in-market was with a Hulu Live TV Only plan for $81.99/month.
Phillies fans will still have to pay separate subscription fees to watch exclusive national broadcasts on Apple TV+, FOX Sports 1 and ESPN. The Phillies have one game on Sunday Night Baseball through each of the first three months of the season. They are also on Apple TV+ once in April and once in June.
Out-of-market Phillies fans can still watch all non nationally televised games with an MLB.tv subscription. That will run you $149.99 per year, or $29.99/month.
The price point to stream Phillies games direct-to-consumer is on the higher end relative to the rest of the league, as Rob Tornoe of the Philadelphia Inquirer pointed out. NBC Sports California‘s add-on package, which includes the Sacramento Kings, San Jose Sharks and Athletics games, is priced at $17.95/month. If you are in the Bay Area and want to watch both the A’s and San Francisco Giants, you’ll have to also buy the NBC Sports Bay Area add-on for an additional $17.95/month. That package includes in-market streaming of Giants and Golden State Warriors games, along with San Francisco 49ers coverage.
YES network is charging $24.99/month to stream New York Yankees and Nets games in-market. To stream the Dodgers in the Los Angeles area, you’ll have to pay $29.99/month for Spectrum‘s streaming plan.
