Ahead of his retirement celebration on Friday at Citizens Bank Park, Todd Zolecki, Jim Salisbury and Ruben Amaro Jr. sat down with Phillies legend Cole Hamels on the latest episode of “The Phillies Show” podcast.
Hamels recalled memories of 2008, throwing a no-hitter in his final start with the Phillies and how he went on to have a successful big league career after suffering a catastrophic injury in high school.
Hamels also shared stories of being in the training room with Aaron Rowand after his “game-saving” catch in 2006, why he avoided playing catch with Billy Wagner and golf trips with his former teammates.
