Last year we ranked the people most valuable to the Phillies’ success in 2016 (amateur scouting director Johnny Almaraz came out on top in a year the Phils held the top pick in the first-year player draft). This year we’re repeating the list, looking at the 50 most valuable people to the team’s success in 2017.
But that means everyone – ownership, executives, folks in and out of baseball operations, plus players, coaches and even broadcasters (last year Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen made the list, since we needed to enjoy some part of the daily game).
We’ll unveil a portion of the list each day this week, starting with Nos. 50-41 today. And we’ll have a special profile of one of the people on the list each day.
Stay tuned – the 2017 Phillies Value 50 launches at 2 p.m.
