“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
In addition to the Phillies alumni and history work which Larry shares with readers here at Phillies Nation, his “Minor League Report” pieces now also run with us all during the season as well.

**Threshers (22–24) had an ugly walk-off loss in 10 innings in Daytona, 8–7. (In the minor leagues, each team starts an extra inning with a courtesy runner on second base). 2B Dan Brito’s sacrifice fly gave Clearwater a 7–6 lead in the 10th. In the bottom of the same inning, Luis Cedeno walked 2 to load the bases, forced in a run with a hit batter and walked in the winning run . . . **BlueClaws (15–30) suffered their third walk-off loss in their last 4 days and fifth of the season, this time 2–1 in Delmarva. A walk started the ninth inning and eventually scored on a bases-loaded, 2-out single. Lakewood was held to singles by 5 different players. The BlueClaws drew 7 walks but left 11 runners on base . . . ND: Francisco Morales, 4–2–1–0–1–10. LP: Victor Santos (2–4).
