“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
In addition to the Phillies alumni and history work which Larry shares with readers here at Phillies Nation, his “Minor League Report” pieces now also run with us all during the season as well.

Ramon Rosso (3-2), 7:05 tonight in Akron in the series finale . . . Reading is in fourth place, 2.5 games out of first with 12 games remaining in the first half.

**Threshers (31-28) lost their first game to the Jupiter Hammerheads, 1-0, getting only two hits. Clearwater won the first six games . . . Ethan Evanko (2-0), 7 p.m. series finale today, the final meeting between the two clubs.
Pitching: SS Demetrius Sims homered off loser Julian Garcia leading off the third inning for the lone run. Garcia (4-4), 6-4-1-1-3-6, two wild pitches . . . Zach Warren, 2-0-0-0-0-3 . . . Grant Dyer, 1-1-0-0-0-2 . . . 11 strikeouts boosted the staff’s league-leading total to 589.
Hitting: SS Nick Maton and LF Ben Aklkinski each had a single . . . Maton and CF Simon Muzziotti each walked; Muzziotti stole his ninth base . . . Clearwater streak of 33 consecutive games with an extra-base hit came to an end.

**BlueClaws (21-37) blanked the Hagerstown Suns for the second straight game, this time, 3-0. In sweeping the three-game series, Lakewood improved its record over the Suns to 9-3 . . . Greensboro follows for a five-game series in four days. Dominic Pipkin (2-1). 7:05 tonight in the series opener.
Pitching: Two pitchers combined to shut out the Suns on two doubles; Claws fourth shutout of the season . . . ND for starter Kyle Glogoski, 5-2-0-0-0-6 and a hit batter; lowered ERA to 0.76; in 23.2 innings, he’s allowed two earned runs while striking out 39 . . . WP: Tyler McKay (2-3), 4-0-0-0-1-2.
Hitting: Lakewood won, 1-0, the previous game getting only three hits. Yesterday, they had four hits, including a pair of triples . . . C Rafael Marchan’s RBI single gave the Claws a 1-0 lead in the sixth . . . RBI triples by RF Carlos De La Cruz and Yerwin Trejo added two more runs in the next inning. De La Cruz was 2-3.
