Alec Bohm (left hand discomfort) is out of Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves. (Cheryl Pursell) Alec Bohm has left Thursday's game early due to injury. Bohm was removed from the game with "left hand discomfort," according to the Phillies. X-rays were negative. Bohm felt some discomfort in his left hand after a 2-2 swing in the first inning of Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The Phillies third baseman continued the at-bat -- grounding out to second to move the two runners on base over. He immediately went downstairs to the tunnel with a trainer, but came back out for the top of the second. He was replaced by Edmundo Sosa at third base in the top of the third. Bohm is in the midst of one of his worst slumps of the season. He is 5 for his last 30, but has been one of the more consistent bats in the Phillies lineup for long stretches of the season. The Phillies are down 3-0 to the Braves in the top of the third. We'll have more on this story as more information becomes available.
