[caption id="attachment_86401" align="alignright" width="300"] Bryce Harper is a father for the first time. (Kyle Ross/Icon Sportswire)[/caption] The Philadelphia Phillies family got a little larger late last week. Thursday, Bryce Harper and his wife, Kayla, welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Krew Aron Harper: https://www.instagram.com/p/B1ok3hPAw_O/ Harper, who will turn 27 in October, is in the first year of a 13-year/$330 million contract with the Phillies. That means that by the time his contract concludes, his son will be in middle school. The Phillies placed Harper on the paternity list before Friday's matchup with the Miami Marlins, a game that ultimately saw the Phillies blow a 6-0 lead and lose 19-11. While the Phillies lost two of three to the Marlins over the weekend, MLB players are only allowed to miss three games on the paternity list, so Harper should be back in the lineup Monday evening when the Phillies open a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizens Bank Park. Harper is slashing .254/.373/.497 with 27 home runs, 92 RBIs and a 3.2 fWAR. August has been Harper's best month in red pinstripes, as the six-time All-Star has nine home runs, 20 RBIs and a 1.029 OPS this month. MORE FROM PHILLIES NATION J.T.
