File this under "Not Sexy." The Phillies have signed left-handed reliever Sean Burnett to a minor-league contract with a spring training invitation, according to Chris Cotillo of SBNation. Burnett, 34, hasn't pitched regularly in the majors since 2012. Last season he put in 5.2 innings with the Nationals, giving up two runs while striking out three. At his best - which was often - Burnett was a solid left-handed reliever whose ERA typically hung out in the low threes. You may remember him from such films as "Down Goes Howard on Strikes." Burnett will join a spring left-handed reliever competition that includes Joely Rodriguez and David Rollins.
